“I believe in giving back. If you’re fortunate enough, and lucky enough to be successful, it’s your obligation to give back and help other people do the same thing,” he said.

Lee, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, earned his aeronautical engineering degree from Parks College. His first job was with a small company in Buffalo. In 1966, he left to start his own – Enidine Inc., a manufacturer of shock absorption and vibration products. Twenty years later, he formed a holding company – International Motion Control Inc.

When that company was sold in 2007, Lee directed part of the proceeds to form the foundation, which has been under the direction of Executive Director Jane Mogavero for nine years.

As the region’s 12th largest with $45.77 million in 2023 assets, the foundation targets two key areas: Education and mental health. An education, Lee said, is the most important part of your life toward a successful career.
