Lee Foundation Discusses the Crisis to Care Collaborative on WIVB

Lee Foundation Executive Director Jane Mogavero and Deputy County Executive Lisa Chimera were pleased to discuss the Crisis to Care Collaborative on WIVB. 

The Crisis to Care Collaborative brings together 30 agencies representing municipal and county government, law enforcement and emergency services, healthcare and behavioral health providers, advocates, and people with lived experience. Our goal is to ensure people experiencing a behavioral health emergency receive the care they need and deserve.

In the interview, Ms. Mogavero discusses a recently recently report, which analyzes data from 10 agencies in Erie County, NY, beginning with the moment a call is placed to 911. The report's authors discuss the challenges of the current system and identify opportunities for improvement. The report is one of the most comprehensive data assessments of a crisis response system in NYS.
