Chris Allaire Joins Lee Foundation as Program Officer

 Christopher Allaire has joined the Patrick P. Lee Foundation as Program Officer and will oversee its fast-growing STEM and mental health scholarship programs, which currently support 100 students annually.  

 

In this newly created position, Mr. Allaire will identify new university, college and community college partners, expand existing partnerships, and launch a national Lee Scholar Alumni Network. Mr. Allaire will also support the Foundation’s mental health initiatives by working collaboratively with current and potential grantees.

 

Prior to joining the Lee Foundation, Mr. Allaire spent over eight years working in the Buffalo non-profit sector at the International Institute of Buffalo and Housing Opportunities Made Equal. His responsibilities included creating and managing programs that addressed critical social issues through the development of partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions. 

 

Mr. Allaire earned a bachelor’s degree in History from Ithaca College and headed the college’s Model United Nations program. He also holds a master’s degree in History from the University at Buffalo, where he focused his studies on community organizations and housing in the city of Buffalo.
