Art Michalek, PhD, Joins Board of Directors

Patrick P. Lee Foundation Announces Election of New Board Member

  

Buffalo, NY – The Patrick P. Lee Foundation is pleased to announce the election of Arthur M. Michalek, PhD, to serve on its board of directors.

 

Michalek is a Research Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health at the University at Buffalo.  Prior to joining the University at Buffalo, he was at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute for over 30 years where he served in many capacities including Dean and Senior Vice President for Educational Affairs. Since 1994 Michalek has served as a grant reviewer for the National Cancer Institute and was recently a Fulbright Scholar at Wroclaw University, Poland. 

 

 “Art’s background in health care and higher education have already proven invaluable to the Foundation during his tenure on the grant committee.  His experience, coupled with a genuine commitment to our mission, makes Art an ideal candidate for the Board” said Jane Mogavero, executive director of the Lee Foundation.

 

Michalek’s three year term on the board of directors begins February 2018 and he continues to serve on the Foundation’s grant committee.
